Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need personal fertility experience to take the fertility yoga teacher training?

Generally, people who are drawn to this work have themselves experienced infertility, pregnancy loss, or fertility treatments. They may have also companioned or witnessed a friend or family member navigate their fertility and see a need for fertility yoga. If you don’t have a personal connection with infertility, showing up with empathy and understanding is paramount.

I’m not RYT 200 certified. Can I still take this?

This is an advanced specialty training that requires foundational yoga teaching knowledge if you plan to teach fertility yoga. However, if you have been practicing yoga and have a solid foundation and want to take the training for your own practice and personal fertility journey, and you do not intend to teach, then email Kerry: kerry@fertilebodyyoga.com. We'll see if we can accommodate you.

What if I can’t attend all the livestream sessions?

All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. Live attendance is strongly encouraged. If you live overseas and you cannot make it live to any of the classes, there will be an extra requirement to have an additional session with Kerry in person (virtually) before you receive your certificate.

Is this Yoga Alliance certified?

This training qualifies for 35 YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education) hours. Yoga Alliance does not currently offer a fertility yoga specialty designation. You will receive a downloadable certificate but you don’t need it for Yoga Alliance.

How long do I have to complete the practicum?

You have 6 months to turn in your practicum (2×45 min recorded fertility yoga classes. 1 private, 1 group). Extended timelines are available upon request.

Can I teach fertility yoga online and in-person?

Yes! The training covers both formats.

What happens after I complete the training?

You’ll be certified to teach fertility yoga and can offer classes at studios, partner with fertility clinics, create online programs, or add fertility-specific offerings to your existing teaching. You can register your continuing education hours on YA.

What is the refund policy? Full refund before March 1st, 50% before April 1st, no refund after April 1st. If you cannot make the training due to health reasons or family emergencies, you will have the recordings to review when you have the time. Or you can save the payment for a future teacher training.
