About This Event

Unfurling The Heart

It's time to tune in and tend to your heart's wisdom. In this session, you'll tap into the potency of circles and waves to unfurl your heat and expand your capacity to love. We'll explore lying down, sitting, and standing for a loving and dynamic session.

What To Expect: Flow

  • ORIENT: We'll begin by walking and orienting to the theme or function we're exploring and how it relates to the energy of the Season.
  • SOUND: We'll open by engaging with the familiar sound of 'MMM.' You'll gently put your lips together and hum. This simple practice can shift your breathing, increase nitric oxide, and calm your nervous system.
  • MOVE: We'll explore a somatic movement practice rooted in the Feldenkrais Method, which is designed to clarify and connect with a habit of moving, thinking, sensing, and feeling.
  • SPONTANEOUS MOVEMENT: We'll take some time to turn inward and surrender to our movement rather than leading it. This is a time to cultivate your capacity to sense the flow in your body. It's the inner art of listening, allowing, and following.
  • JOURNAL: Now is a prime time to tap into the potency of your biology and the power of neuroplasticity (rewiring your brain). We'll save some time for you to journal. Often, people use this time to allow stream-of-consciousness journaling to reveal the preconscious. However, explore a conscious rewrite to help decouple an emotion or belief around a particular topic or situation.

❤️ Dāna: pay from the heart

This Session is a pay-from-the-heart class. If you are not a member, you can make minimal contributions or pay what feels aligned in your heart.

Why Dāna?

Generosity is a matter of heart, not income.

  • Cultivating gratitude and generosity. Dāna is the practice of mutually dependent arising—understanding that everything is contingent upon everything else. It’s knowing that true well-being arises in every interaction we have with ourselves, each other, and the world.
  • The practice of no separation. The practice of receiving Dāna is just as rewarding as the practice of offering it — no separation between my practice and the practice of others. It can deepen our (yours and mine) experience of trust, goodwill, gratitude, and community.
  • Giving back.  I wanted to find a way to support those who wouldn't otherwise be able to work with me without one of us compromising our financial well-being.
